Juicing fruits and vegetables has been one of the most popular dietary trends in recent years. Each recipe is packed with nutrition, you can’t go wrong!
Every juice you drink can help you break through weight-loss plateaus or provide your body with a cleanse when you’re feeling issues going on with your system. What’s more, your energy levels are seriously boosted!
When I first started out with juicing, it was hard to know which ingredients packed the most punch. And, how to blend the flavors.
Throw in one cucumber and two apples, maybe?
It was a lot of trial and error with creating the best tasting and most effective juices, but worth testing out.
Today I’m sharing my list of the best fruits and vegetables for juicing.
It will save you some time and effort, so let’s dive in!
The Health Benefits of Juicing
One of the major benefits of juicing is that it allows you to more easily consume the right number of fruit and vegetable servings in a single day.
Juicing can help you do a quick cleanse of your system if you’re feeling off or just need a restart.
Juicing can also give your weight-loss a kickstart or help you break a plateau that you just can’t get past without some extra help.
But are there downsides?
It’s important to remember that juicing is not intended as a long-term source of your only nutrition. Juicing removes most of the pulp from fruits and vegetables and your body needs that fiber for a healthy digestive system.

Best Fruits to Juice for Nutrition
The best fruits to juice for health benefits can be found below with nutritional information and the other foods they best pair with for flavor.
Grab your blender and start juicing these!
1. Apples
Apples have a light, versatile flavor that makes them one of the best organic fruits for juice recipes. They’re packed with antioxidants that help fight cancer and inflammation. Apples are loaded with Vitamin C for an improved immune system and healthy eyes and skin.
If you don’t mind a little pulp, you can also benefit from the high fiber content in apples. Fiber is great for clearing the intestines and helping to prevent digestive-related diseases.
3 Ingredient Juice Recipe: Apple, Spinach, Carrot
If you’re after a refreshing breakfast juice, this is the one for you. It’s lovely and sweet and with just 3 ingredients, it’s very easy to make. Sure, green juice doesn’t always look the most appetizing but keep in mind that apples, spinach and carrots are some of the best fruits and vegetables for juicing, in terms of health benefits!
Ingredients (2 servings):
- 4 green apples
- 200g spinach
- 4 carrots
Directions:
Simply chop the apples, spinach and carrots into small pieces, perfect for feeding into your blender. Start with the spinach, before juicing the apples and finally your carrots. Voila, you’ve got the perfect healthy, green juice to kickstart your day!
2. Oranges
In case you couldn’t guess, one of the immediate benefits of oranges is the load of Vitamin C they provide. Oranges can also help improve digestion and heart health through the provision of that citric acid.
They’re also rich in other important nutrients, including folate and potassium. Folate supports fetal growth in pregnancy and potassium works to regulate blood pressure and fight against heart disease. With so many benefits, it’s no wonder oranges are one of the best fruits for juicing.
3 Ingredient Juice Recipe: Orange, Carrot, Ginger
This is one of my favorite 3 ingredient juice recipes for the winter. With all the colds and winter bugs in the air, it’s great for giving your immune system a much-needed boost.
Ingredients (2 servings):
- 7 oranges
- 4 carrots
- 2 inch piece of fresh ginger
Slice the oranges in half, roughly chop your carrots (remove the ends) and scrape the skin off the ginger. Add to your blender or juicer and whiz away. I recommend drinking this one straight away for full freshness but you can store it in your refrigerator for 24 hours.
3. Watermelon
Watermelon is packed with Vitamins A, C, B1, and B6. These give energy and help your eyes and immune system. There’s also loads of pantothenic acid, copper, and biotin.
3 Ingredient Juice Recipe: Watermelon, Lime, Mint
Ingredients (2 servings):
- 4 small slices of watermelon
- Juice of 1 lime
- 10 mint leaves
Remove the outer shell and seeds of the watermelon. Chop into small pieces. Wash the mint leaves. Place all of the ingredients in your juicer. Blend and serve!
4. Pineapple
Pineapple has potassium, Vitamins A, C, and B6, along with a little iron, magnesium, and calcium. All of these work together for healthy immunity, energy, and healthy bones, muscles, and vascular system.
3 Ingredient Juice Recipe: Pineapple, Coconut Water, Lime
Hands up if you want to feel like you’re living on a tropical island? This is the juice for it. Pineapples are one of my go-to fruits for juicing. They add the perfect amount of sweetness to any homemade juice. As a side tip, freeze the pineapple chunks and turn this delicious juice into a refreshing slushy for summer.
Ingredients (2 servings):
- 2 ½ cups of pineapple chunks
- 1 cup of coconut water
- ½ lime juice
Juice the ingredients and serve up! It’s as simple as that. If you’d like a thinner juice, opt for more coconut water. Prefer it a little thicker? Try the frozen slushy option with extra pineapple.
5. Pears
Pears are probably the second most versatile fruit in this list. Their subtle flavor blends with nearly anything, and they load you up with Vitamin C, iron, and a little calcium. They’re also full of antioxidants, great for mopping up free radicals and maintaining healthy cells.
3 Ingredient Juice Recipe: Pear, Strawberry, Raspberry
Berries are good fruits to juice with pears as they compliment each other well and make for a sweet and flavorful summery drink.
Ingredients (2 servings):
- 2 pears
- 1 cup of strawberries
- 1 cup of raspberries
Dice the pears into small chunks, suitable for your juicer. Add the strawberries and raspberries. Juice until you have a lovely, thick mixture and serve.
6. Grapefruit
Like all citrus fruit, grapefruit is high in Vitamin C and other antioxidants that help your body fight off the free radicals that harm our internal systems. Grapefruit is also loaded with Vitamin A and B-6 and magnesium.

- 2 apples
- 5 medium sized carrots

This savory fruit is often considered more of a vegetable because of the flavor. But whether you deem it fruit or veggie, tomatoes are loaded up with Vitamins C and A, lycopene, Vitamin K, and potassium. All of these work together to help out our cholesterol, immune systems, vision, and muscles.
3 Ingredient Juice Recipe: Tomato, Carrot, Ginger
